As an aside (stop now if you don't want to read my ramble, which is why I separated this post), this was a great (cost-effective) upgrade for me as I contemplate(d) my next step of going to an ECU (Jak, you do NG900's with Frank too?!, my sister is in Charlotte and visiting her would be a great excuse), and while I take care of "hardware" on my car.
I have not done a dyno run, but I have been looking into this, especially since I am considering further hardware changes. It appears I have 2 choices in Buffalo (Dynojet) and 2 or 3 in Rochester (MustangDyne). Buffalo seems pricey ($99 for 2 pulls, $199 for 5 in 2 hours if want to make changes, or $125 for 1 hour), and I will have to call on the Rochester ones.
I would like to see the REAL difference with my mods (HOT ECU, MBC+A, intake mods, Sport Exhaust) even though I have no baseline. I could put in the original ECU, drive around (adaptation) then do the same for the HOT to see results.
Next I am considering 3" Downpipe and Delivery pipe, IC - custom or Viggen, and short shifter. Shocks are within the next week or two - debating Bilstein HDs (almost a YES), and the above followed by proper ECU would be "it" as this is my daily driver, and I am looking more for grin factor than 300hp, etc. I thought about going crazy, fixing car up further, swapping for a Viggen or Aero turbo, maybe Viggen brakes, etc. But as I research and debate more, my logical-side tells me all of this additional money and time could be spent on my "goal" (read "Dream") car which is a later year 911 that I would like to rebuild. Therefore, cost and time are considered and dissuade me from going further. I do love my Saab though and I am also considering an older 900 to drive and tinker with as well.
Anything?? Thanks again.
