The annual auto issue of Consumer Reports gives the Acura RL a pass with an "average" rating.
The latest Car and Driver issue reports 8 unscheduled service visits in its 40K long term test of the car, in addition to the normal 5 scheduled visits, and questions whether a normal consumer would tolerate this. I think NOT.
Now, Consumer Reports swears it has no bias in any direction, but you have to wonder if its previous experience with other Honda products may have influenced it in this case.
It's obvious from C & D's report that the RL has more than its fair share of reliability and design problems, and this should be "called as it is."
