Agreed, in many respects.
The point is-is CR letting past performance influence its "non" bias. How many times have they stated that "based on past performance we excpect the reliablity to be..."?
If a model is "re-designed", let's "let the chips fall where they may". That is a major premis in the early pages of the magazine - that re-designed models tend to be problematic.
They projected this model Acura to be average or above based on prior history, in an earlier test. Are they fulfillig their own prophecy?
The C&D article says that in addition to the the service issues that there were 3 recalls. YKIES!
I can't recall reading a more negative long term report in the last 10 years in C&D.
I've been a subscriber to C&D for too long (some of you will say one month is too long!), but I've never seen them "bite the hand that feeds them", as they did this time.
I applaud them.
