That was me, and I was referring to the well equipped 4.6 litre V-8, which is the engine you would have to choose to compete with a Saab in performance. Cannot say that much about the 3.0 six x-5,but in my past experience with cars, when a vehicle is offered with both a large and a smaller engine, the resale of the larger one is the one that will carry the vehicle, and the smaller engined version gets remembered as the one that was almost like the real version. Look at Mercedes S class cars with the six versus the eight. You cannot give them away.BMW 735is, once the 740 hit the street. value plumeted because the market was now thinking V_8 instead of inline 6. It dosent mean it's not a good car, but if people's perceptions of it are that it was old tech, and that the newer version has a better and bigger engine, the resale will suffer. I will close by acknowledging that BMW's resale is still much better than Saab's. Resale is one remaining issue that Saab muast tackle to be regarded as up there with the big boys.
