C'mon Bri!

Vehicles like the 9-5 are not like the Porsche 911. Don't bother to compare them in any way, shape, or form. Especially when it comes to the most basic matters of form and function. How many people can you fit into a 911? Do you often take a 911 on a trip with your family? For many of us--this closes the case.

12 oz. Cola cans are very difficult to remove from the dash holder because the three rubber tabs intend to keep the can in their clutches--this was already noted.

20 oz. water bottles, on the other hand, are far too top heavy to fit into the shallow opening without lurching around at every turn--threatening to snap the relatively cheap plastic piece clean off the dash.

As for "large to-go cups" with the smaller base--forget about it! The problems of stability are only exaggerated...

But, tied into this discussion is the issue of front seat storage space--and quite frankly this really bothers me about my Saab Wagon (which I bought for its UTILITY). Luckily, it doesn't bother my wife nearly as much, and it's her car...

By way of contrast:
My in-laws Honda Accord has no less than four cupholders in the front seat , a covered console that holds about ten CDs, and an area under the central dash that you can fit about six cell phones and four pair of sunglasses (though you can fit another pair of sunglasses up by the sunroof controls).

Though I am glad that I have that night panel switch, I would trade it in in a heartbeat if I could have all of the front seat storage space that I just experienced in that Honda Accord...
