Most European vehicles did not have cupholders until the end of the nineties. I do agree about the storage, but not as much on the 9-5 as the 9-3.
My cell phone goes into the pocket in the front of the driver's seat, my CD's on the sunvisor (those Velcro CD storage hangars are great), my 20oz Dr. Pepper in the cupholder ( a tight fit, yes). The 9-5 fits my needs almost perfectly; the 9-3 was lacking a little. It was tough adjusting from my Aero to my Viggen, because of the storage issue. I know, I know, tough life, right?
Thee 9-5 is as close to a driver's car that one can buy without compromising practicality. It is a very nice driving sedan. No, it's not a 911 either. Gosh, people, don't take everything so literally. :-)
Cheers,
Brian.
