If using thorn tubes, why use lightweight tires? I'm not sure what the weight penalty is on the thorn tubes, but it doesn't seem to make sense to use super lightweight tires with heavy tubes. I think that you would be better served with more bullet-proof tires, i.e. Kevlar casing, than heavier tubes; the heavier tires might help deflect the intrusion of the little bits that cause flats vs. letting the thickness of the thorn tubes accomodate the intruders. Similar rotating mass in either case.
