American Car Companies - Turbo Charged, Why don't they...??
As we all know, our 16 valve turbo engines kick ass. Performance, longevity, and economy. A turbo charged 4 is light and can offer more than enough power and torque. For example the relatively new 1.8T VW kicks ass after a chip upgrade. I just can't comprehend why the big three don't go after this. It's common sense engineering. I think America has lost it, especially when you see the high schooler styling that comes out of Pontiac. Yes there are a few super charged American cars. But forced induction should be a standard option on all of them as far as I'm concerned. Get out of the V8 and V6 mentality!! What are you opinions?? Thanks
