The mentality of most car buyers in this country can't fathom any four cylinder being as smooth or powerful as a V6. Somewhat ironic I think, given how successful Honda and Toyota have been with their torqueless wonder four cylinders, putting out as much as 240 HP with considerably less torque than a 2.0l Saab turbo.
Who the freak cares HOW many cylinders it has, the bottom line is the kind of performance figures, both objective and subjective, an engine puts out. And as for longevity, Saab turbocharged engine have proven themselves to be no slouch compared to any normally aspirated V6 or V8.
