Did Enzo Ferrari like producing street cars? No, he did it so that he would have the money to pursue his real passion of building racecars. A V-8 is a necessary evil. To sell cars in America you must have displacement. If Saab can't sell cars in America it won't make money. Without making money, there is no Saab. Between extinction and evolution, I would choose the lesser of the two evils. We played the stubborn game and stuck to our guns. Where did it get us? Nowhere; one step from bankruptcy.
