I'm pretty sure MI-Roger is correct. The auto's are made in Japan and they are the same trammy's used by toyota (lexus). As for 5 and 6 speeds, who knows, Sweeden I think but I'm not sure. My advice would be to stick with the mannual. They work so much better with a turbo in my opinion. But as for your problem, definetly use the lemon law or demand a new trammy from dealer if your warrenty is still valid. But be sure and check to make sure they give you a new one. I've heard stories of dealers using "junk yeard" replacements. Good luck.
