Today's car manufacturers bend over backwards trying to outdo each other in complexity and styles of terminal pin lock.
I do not have the secret sequence to that ECU connector since most of them are different all depending on which connector you are working on.
Many times it is also about finding a hidden slide tab that is moved sideways before you start to work on the super finicky barb tab with your tool.
I did repair terminals on the ABS computer a few month ago and I had to break open a junk connector just to learn where the secret trigger points were.
DO NOT apply too much force with the tool or pull too hard on the wire until you have studied and learned all the spots needed for it to come apart.
You will only bend the barb backwards and then it is impossible to get it out.
Also, the rubber plug in the back of wire have it's own resistance so even when you have pushed all the right spots, you have to overcome the friction of that rubber plug.
