We're renovating our first house before we move at the end of the month. Today in the 9-5 wagon I picked up...96 board feet of wood and Tuff Board (pvc stuff for window trim), 4 gallon of paint and primer, sundry other things $$$, a 16' extension ladder, and a wet/dry vac at the local big box hardware store. The ladder & vac were on the roof rack and the trunk was closed with a bungee. I feel I have finally surpassed the time I hauled 400 lbs of mulch and turkey manure (all bagged, fortunately).
I got a lot of weird looks driving down the road. I think the weirdos are the ones who buy an F-150 for this sort of purpose.
Now I just need to yank the car seats so I can put the back seat down. I like to think I won't need many more trips for buying stuff...holy crap home ownership is expensive so far.
