Like many saab owners I started out with the 900T which were great cars. I purchased the second one an 88 900T new and put 255K on it with very little trouble. The 2.0 16V engines were great performers and I consistently got 28-29 mpg on the open road. I traded it in on a new 2003 95 5 spd Aero and now have 110K on it. This is an awesome vehicle in my view, although more expensive to operate than the 900T- the comfort, solid feel, power and mileage are a cut above the 88. I have replaced the SID and the DI out of pocket and the AC compressor was replaced under warranty. The 17" tires are more expensive, but I just put the 1st set of front pads on at 108k! Swedecar has done a lot of my service and says this is one of the cleanest engines he has seen.I can not believe what these cars are selling for. I would highly recommend as long as it has a complete and timely service record.
Just my view.
