I don't quite see it - maybe the Aero is more harsh, and maybe you have suspension work to do... but I've currently got 2 c900's and they both are waaay more harsh than our 2004 9-5 Arc with Koni sports on the middle setting and Michelin PSS 225/45R17 tires. I've driven a number of the 9-3 hatches, and they are really fun (feel much quicker than 9-5), but stock, they do not handle corners anywhere near as well as a 9-5 or c900. The 9-5 definitely handles like a bigger car, and if the suspension is shot, it can be pretty floaty/bumpy. That said, with my current setup, it handles very nicely. The c900's *feel* more fast (and fun) around fast corners (eg cloverleafs), but if I look at the speedo, the 9-5 takes them faster!
It is true that parts cost for the 9-5 is higher than c900, and that might be a valid point to take into account if the car is not already well sorted...
