Nokian WR2 vs NRW

I've got WR2 215/55/16 for the winter on my '07.
I had NRW 215/55/16 for the winter on my '02.
For both, I also run/ran a summer 17".
This time I opted for not going "true" winter tire, as I didn't want to give up as much dry-road performance. I'm happy with the choice. I'm in NE Indiana, we average over 33" of snow. Throw in some freezing rain maybe a half dozen times. My roads traveled typically plowed pretty well.
The WRG2 has apparently replaced the WR2. The NRW has been replaced a couple of times.
I had unbelievable (maybe unrealistic) confidence in the NRW's. The WR2's don't give me the same ability, but I'm still happy with the choice, and would do it again.
