Ah, yes. Those pesky cash flow issues!
That's what will keep me out of Nokians for my next set of winter tires. From Tire Rack there's not enough of a difference between the Generals and the Contis to make me go to the Generals, plus I'd rather be on T-rated tires than Q-rated ones. And having had Dunlops for winter I'm not doing that again.
But real world, almost any snow tire is going to be fine. Here in NH you see lots of cars with very ordinary snows on all four corners, even Bimmers and Mercs and Audis, once the cars are off warranty and out of the clutches of the dealers who only sell the expensive rubber.
