Someone from below got a bit pissed off, when I mentioned that this price for this car is too much.
Question- which vehicle would go for more; and please give an estimate of worth..
An unmodified, all original(down the paint) low mileage(40k) car 1979 5door?
or a highly updated later color painted, version with 16valve engine, and later styled interior?
I'll give my(of course from a someone who is partial to the make) two cents:
An all original low mileage, original paint, 1979 Saab: 10.000 to 14,000.
An updated 1979 Saab with later style doors:
Well, Paint quality/ rust issues is major factor-more so than the engine.
If the paint is an 8 out of a 10- 7,000 to 8,000.
If the paint is covering rust, and bubbling taking place- and more repairs are needed-and engine runs well, and interior is mint 3,000- strictly based on the rarity of the chassis style.
That typed, people rarely extract the same money they placed in- when it comes to restorations.
Please offer your two cents of which would fetch more? and also the estimated value:
Thanks
