Try to find another one.
In my opinion, the resto-mod is top notch (based on the pictures of course). Resto-mod cars can fetch more than a straight restoration if the trade-offs are worth it. In this case, I'd say that they are. 16-V turbo, 5-speed, leather, whaletail, 134 conversion... The one glaring issue I see is that the engine isn't flawless. For that kind of money, I'd want that to look factory fresh. If this were some rare limited-edition model, I'd see how keeping it numbers matching would be important, but it's not.
The same goes for any car that's been resto-modded. My friend has a 1968 stock GTO. Beautiful restoration, looks great in the driveway, but it's squirrely as hell to drive. I recently saw a resto-mod of the same model car with modern suspension and supercharged motor from a new GTO. I'd definitely pay more for that resto-mod.
