Yes, I was using a Braille AGM battery back in '12. It died late last year and I didn't feel like spending the $150 to replace it. I had just finished parting out a 2003 Jaguar XJ8 and had its battery sitting in the garage so I used it. I still like the Braille idea, but I need to concoct a better scenario for maintaining it. The SPG only sees a few thousand miles annually these days, and while the Braille was fine when the car saw daily use, the the reserve on the Braille wasn't sufficient when it would sit for weeks at a time. The gigantic Jag battery doesn't have that problem. :) When I installed the Jag battery I did make two piece battery cables using a marine junction box so switching back to a smaller battery would be easier. :)
I have a feeling I'm going to be messing with the fuel pump a lot this summer, so I might end up switching back to the Braille or similar solution... removing the trunk floor with that monstrosity on it is kind of a pain. :)
