When we did this in my son's 900 vert, we just grounded the battery at the back of the car on the frame somewhere and ran the positive under the car and connected it at a terminal up where the original battery was, just like extending the stock positive connector to the back of the car. Cuts down on having to run additional wiring. No need to run a ground all the way to the front if you find a good solid ground in the back IMHO. Be sure that you leave the pigtail from the stock battery ground that connects the motor to the chassis connected so you have continuity.
