Strange occasional hot idle misfire Posted by Rose quartz 87 [Email] (#2119) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Rose quartz 87) on Tue, 2 Nov 2021 14:47:29 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi All,
Bit of a strange one that I can't seem to figure out...
When warm, after a run, fans have come on, at idle I have an occasional miss. Audible from the exhaust. However, it doesn't do it when the headlights are on or the cooling fans are running.
New plugs, bougicords, cap and rotor. Original AMM and distributor. (87 turbo).
Distributor is leaking a small amount of oil out of the cap. Not noticeable unless the cap's taken off.
Car runs well at stock otherwise, a little turbo noise but still getting a steady 10-11psi, (until te05/intercooler gets too hot), no other noticeable hesitation throughout the rev range.
Grounding issue? valve/lifter issue? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
