I had a similar issue with my 1985 c900 on two occasions. Problem were traced to: 1. Faulty fuel pump relay found in the fusde box; 2. Faulty electronic ignition module. Problem #2 was most difficult to diagnois. Had to have car towed from local mechanic to a Saanb dealship. The problem could only be identified by swapping out the electronic ignition module with a new unit from the dealer's parts department. (The local mechanic had no such parts bin to work from.)
