Toyota was one of the worst which prompted recalls and extended warranties like most manufacturers did at the time. Not sure why it took Saab so long to cure it. If your commute is longer allow engine temperatures to stay at normal for sometime you should fine. I have 52 miles of highway and never had a problem with no PCV mods and synthetic oil. . Even the 2003 9-5 linear parts car(guys daughter ran it out of oil) only have some coffee grinds in the pan at 160,000 miles.Or 16K annually.
