Take a look above it for easy stuff like the valve cover. The crank pulley is near the bottom of the engine so leaks from anywhere above will collect there making it tough to diagnose. However, a pretty common issue in the area is the oil pump o-ring. It's not bad to replace (the main challenge can be getting the crank pulley off) and you may as well replace the crankshaft seal while your in there as it's just one extra step.
