I think that mirrors are smaller and furhter from the driver these days. You have not driven a 9-5, try that some day. Yes, I and others have tried adjusting our mirrors. Note that the these split field aspherical mirrors have a significantly flat section which does not alter the distance perspective. The mirror curves away towards the outside and this provides the wide angle view. So its not like you think. These are better mirrors. The US and Canada are way way behind with this critical safety item. A chunk of flat mirror is not much of an improvement over 50?60?100 years.
