i live in new london for 4 years and frequented boston, rhode island, hartford, new haven, etc. then i moved to the seattle area for 5.5 years. it was like a breath of fresh air. i immediately noticed the difference in driving habits. in new england everyone is in a rush to go nowhere. in the northwest, everyone thinks that all lanes should travel at the same speed and everyone should pace the person next to them. sure there are similarities between the two, but overall imression isnew england is more rushed and chaotic, northwest is more relaxed and congested. that said, i never knew true road rage until i moved west. you flip someone off there, you get run off the road, thrown at, attacked... where in new england it is expected.
last october i moved back over here, boston area and back in the rat race. i feel the urge too. i need to get just one more car length, it will save me time. it's a constant competition for some reason.
i do believe that cars purchased from new england sources come without the turn signals...
