Radial Tire, in Silver Spring, MD, does an incredible job servicing my tire needs, along with thousands of others in this area. The worst thing about Radial is the line; you routinely have to wait 2 hours to get work done. But it is worth the wait; seriously! :o)

I know the owner personally and he's an awesome guy; but they are super nice to everyone that walks through the door. Plus their prices are incredible, and they carry some awesome tires. They are also willing to work with you to help you pick out the best tires for your money based on your driving style and wants/needs.

Sorry to hear about your woes, Pierre. The counter-person is in the stronger position, since you left the shop. I'd suggest asking to speak to a manager; perhaps even go in person, and explain your position. These businesses do still care what the public thinks of them. Some do, anyway. In any case, they might give you some cash back or help you with getting the mag fixed. Just be nice with them (no yelling!) and understand their position (that you left without checking first).
