This definitely gives me some great ideas. We're into art and architecture, music, beer and, um, smokey treats (now the whole board knows what MY vice is...) A pass through the Red Light District will be an interesting novelty, although I'm fairly certain we won't be purchasing anyone's services or anything like that (*blush*). It will be my first visit to the Netherlands and his first time on the Continent.
Plan A had been to spend two weeks touring Scotland, but that was turning into a logistical nightmare (and was going to cost about as much as I paid for my house) so we have now turned to this, Plan B.

Finding the right flight is proving to be a hassle. KLM runs direct flights over to Amsterdam, but all their return flights seem to require a layover in....Detroit. Not exactly super-convenient since I live in Boston.
