...I didn't realize when she said "throttle body" that it was a TCS vehicle! Stupid because, IIRC, all turbo '93's had TCS. They can be a PIA, but when functioning properly, I've heard they're quite good in the snow. Whatever, it's not a big deal, as I'm sure non-TCS throttle bodies can be found at salvage yards, or even eBay, and someday you could easily convert it - end of problem.
In general, parts for the 9000 aren't that expensive, either, unless one always buys from a dealer.
I get a lot of parts from salvage yards and site sponsors, who are very reasonable. However, like Bob Falfa noted, it's hard for me to imagine two people with only one vehicle, irregardless of the money saved. I'm sure it can't be more than a few dollars/day to register and insure, etc. And besides, you'd be depriving yourself the joy that comes from working on such an 'intuitive' machine, as KB900psi so eloquently put it!
