1. Slow down when on slick pavement. This doesn't necessarily mean driving 2 mph below the speed limit. To get a feel for the safe speed, check your stopping distance when there are no cars behind you.
2. Just because you can get your vehicle going fast on snow or ice doesn't mean you can stop in a safe distance.
3. All season tires are meant to be driven in light snow, not heavy snow. If it snows heavily in your area, get snow tires.
