1) No matter how impatient or frustrated or late you are, you CANNOT drive faster than the car in front of you. Following 0.001" from his rear bumper will not change this fact.
2) You cannot intimidate a red traffic light into changing sooner by creeping forward into the intersection.
3) For Floridians only: if you are stopped at a light on a multilane road, and there is a large heavy vehicle (18-wheeler, cement truck...) in an adjacent lane, when the light turns green you are NOT required to limit your acceleration to match the other vehicle. By pressing the gas pedal a little harder, you can "pass" (look this word up in a dictionary) the other vehicle, thus preventing you and all the cars behind you from having to travel 25 MPH all the way to your destination.
;^)
