The 3.2 Acura S 270HP engine peak torque may be at 5000, but that torque curve it very flat and fat from 2300-5000. I remember the curve could not have varied more than 15 ft. lbs. over the range. I test drove an Acura 2003 CL-S coupe with 6 speed manual and was mightily impressed with the engine, but not the Accord derived interior (mainly the dash and doors, the seats were real nice leather). Yes, it did have torque steer at full tilt, but not to the degree of my Viggen. Actually, I thought it was one of the nicest V-6s I have driven. Revved free and easy to redline and sounded wonderful. The acceleration, really brought smiles to the wife amd I. It was too bad that the 2003 was the last of the Acura coupes.
Honda V-6 engines are so nice.
