My wife can't/won't drive standard so we have autos. I feel unless the car is a true sports car why bother. The one time you're stuck in bumper to bumper for an hour you'll love the auto box. I actually don't mind the auto box for the most part, I've driven manual 9-3s and love the punch in 3rd gear but I wouldn't not buy the car because of the trans.
