TurboX isn't a Viggen. There is very little that will be "unique" about this versus the upcoming Aero xwd 9-3. I'm assuming that xwd will be available on all Aero's, not just limited to production of 600 TurboX Black Editions which would be a travesty for Saab sales.
The Viggen had a lot of upgrades mechanically. That Turbo X doesn't have anything beyond some badging and performance tune. The Viggen could justify the price hike because it was significantly different than the 9-3 2.0L hot.. and it's price was a mistake, because in typical Saab fashion, they were deeply discounted (I paid $31k)
If $42,500 represents pricing for xwd system; Saab is in deep trouble. At that price range, I'll get a BMW 335xi awd for the extra $100 or perhaps an Audi A6 for another $350; The A4 convertable is also that price... which one is going to hold it's value better and is nicer?
