I live in NC and bike to work on occasion. I love it when I do. Sure ain't as nice as growing up in rural MN where all road were wide, had shoulders, and there was only 1 curve and 1 car every few miles. But I think it's safe enough. I see a lot of high-speed stop 'n go and accidents on the freeway. Doesn't exactly make me feel much safer! I always have a kickass workday when I ride. Just gets the mind in order.
