Since, as you say, you didn't read the report, here's the plan for the four core brands:
Chevrolet is an full-line brand with its own dealerships.
Buick, Pontiac, and GMC are integrated into a single dealer network (called BPG). Each targets specific areas, with Pontiac having the fewest models. The aggregate of all three has enough models to attract people to the dealerships.
GM believes it can survive on these four and cut advertising and development expenses in its other brands where returns are lower. These four brands currently account for 83% of sales.
