I agree. However, the kind of 'unauthorized driving' that really frosts me is when the car is in for service. I brought my new Taurus SHO back to my local dealer to have the windshield washer reservoir replaced under warranty. When I went to pick it up it had 30 more miles on it than when I dropped it off. I confronted the service manager about this who pleaded ignorance. I complained to the owner of the dealership (who also owns a dealership about 15 miles away) and they filled my car with guess. While they wouldn't admit it I think they used my car to ferry someone (or maybe something) between the two dealerships. Why not use a customer car in for service rather than add miles to one of their own right? I complained to the local BBB and the state attorney general's office as well.
