Regarding #2... Pedestrian safety standards make me angry. I don't understand why they feel the hoods need to be up so high. I would think it would be better for the idiot to be clothes-lined at the the legs and thrown up onto the hood/windshield rather than bashed into a vertical front grille. Have you ever seen a deer or other animal hit the windshield of a car? The windshield breaks and caves to cradle the animal. And really, how often to people get hit by cars? Come one...
If you are dumb enough to step out into moving traffic, you're going to get hit by a car and it's not going to be pretty, regardless of how the car is shaped.
Oh and if I didn't make it clear enough in my original post, while the NG9-5's design is pretty conservative, I love it and would by one in a heart beat if I had money. At the same time though, it wouldn't hurt you Saab if you wanted to be a little more risky in your next designs...
