It sure doesn't look like any Malibu I've ever seen. I'll grant you the CC, it is a striking look but at the cost of lost interior/trunk space. You mention the 3 series--that really is a bland design that has changed little since '95. The grill is the about the only thing that makes it distinctive. In fact in profile you'd have a heck of a time telling the difference between a 3 series, an A4 and a 9-3. The grills and wheels are what diffentiate these cars. My neighbor has a late model 3 series and when he puts his snow tires on (black steel rims w/no hub caps)I've honestly mistaken it for a mid '90's civic from the side and back. I owned a '95 and as a package they're a good looking car, but it's the paint, trim and details that make it. If you look at it strictly from a design point of view it's pretty much a generic three box sedan. I guess I like the new Saab and think it stands out compared to the styling of it's European competitors (with the exception of the CC). Of course it may not matter if they fold.
