I've had two 9000 turbos and two 9-5s, both wagons. The first 2001 9-5 was a joy, and a good experience following the 13-year-old 9000T. The fit and finish, and quality of interior materials was very good. No disappointments.
The second 9-5, a 2006, was okay except for the quality of interior materials. It was obvious that GM had cheapened things up quite a bit. It was going to be my last Saab because of the cheapened materials until it was imminent that Saab was going to go under. So I traded the '06 for a new '09 convertible at $13K off sticker on 31 Dec 09.
Now that there's Saab-Spyker, I wish I had kept the 9-5, and traded our '05 Honda Pilot instead. Oh, well. I'm keeping my eye out for as almost clean 9-5 wagon as my '06. It will be doubtful it can be AS clean. I'm sure everyone feels that way about theirs.
