While GM was in charge, there have been almost yearly periods of time with rebates between $4k - $6K, at one time $7K on a 9-5s. They have all been of pretty short duration. When I bought my 2001, the deal was supposed to be up at the end of the month, but the dealer called GM, and there was an extension of a few days. A deal maker.
Once GM is out of the picture, and they essentially are right now for practical purposes, I cannot think why anyone should think such deals are likely to occur.
Perhaps, but it will no longer be GM calling the shots for GM's purposes.
Spyker wants to establish the mark as a premium value, in the same category with the likes of Audi, BMW, etc. What is the argument or rationale for continued large purchase rebates?
Just my two cents.
