I am in Calgary. Yes, I work at a lab that calibrates torque wrenches (among other things), for the last 14 years. What I have found with the Maximum series is that they are not consistent. If you set it at 100, one time it will torque 95, another time 115, another time 80. There's really nothing you can do with this type of problem. It's POSSIBLE that a complete tear-down and re-build might alleviate the problem (I have a hypothesis as to what the problem is), but by the time you do that it costs more than the wrench is worth, and certainly more than the typical Canadian Tire customer is willing to spend. What is the model number and vintage of your wrench? If I've worked on it before I will have an idea if it's any good.
