Sorry TML - I don't see the any logic in your argument. You seem to be saying that 47% of the US population lives below the poverty level and therefore should not pay taxes. I would like to understand how you arrived at this conclusion, i.e. data source. Further, you make a random value judgement that 1:44 is not enough of a ratio for you with respect to taxes paid by the top 1% of earners. Finally, you- with certainty, claim that this money is not earned properly, but rather through some form of indentured servitude. Again, this does not jibe with the state of affairs in modern America, where indentured servitude and slavery are, thankfully, remnants of the past. No one is forced to work for any other individual or organization.
Smaller government and less spending and living within our means is the way the founding fathers wanted our government to operate, which is why the Constitution was written in the way it was, which restrictions on government power and reach.
