My dad was a Studebaker guy through the fifties into the sixties. They always had a sort of flare in terms of looks but the Lark was not a particularly good looking car and may have been their downfall. I know my dad didn't like them and bought a new Oldsmobile in 1963. There are a few parrallels between Saab and Studebaker, I wonder if there's genetic cause for being interested in cars that are not exactly mainstream? Dad didn't stay mainstream for very long though--in '66 he bought an Olds Toronado.
