I'm no expert on China (or economics either)... but lots of stuff has been outsourced there over the last few decades + that stuff has gotten progressively more valuable, knowledge-wise + in terms of the products themselves (eg stuff like iPad? look at where stuff you own is made?)... in some fields (mine is optoelectronics), you basically have to produce there to sell there... not a big surprise they are doing ok!

I have no idea what Donald Trump is blabbering about half the time these days... sometimes I wonder how much he is a businessman + how much he is a celebrity ;-)... certainly there are impediments to outsourcing there... like anywhere there are good companies + bad... certainly there are some crazy self-destructive price-cutting copycat companies, but not all are... also, some are now finding China too expensive + outsourcing from China elsewhere... I look at it as a kind of long term equalization of wealth distribution throughout the world (for better or worse - you can read into that what you want, imho there's a bit of both)...
