I think there are some very fine new cars out there... but give me the '99 M3 over the (equally powerful) Accord. Driving feel. And, the M3 is much cheaper to purchase than the Accord. Heck, for Accord money today, you can get an e46 M3 (which is 333 HP). M3s and Accords are so different, it's funny to compare them. (The article is 2.5 years old anyway)
My next car will be a 2002-2008 9-5 Wagon. For that money, I can't buy an Accord, and I will enjoy the 9-5 more. It will cost less to register, insure, and purchase. To me, it's a no-brainer. Even 9-5s and Accords are different, but they seem a better comparison than the M3-Accord.
Ezra Dyer is my favorite writer in the car-realm. Hands down.
