Well we have in common both drive a 2004 9-5 ARC - but my deal was from a Mercedes dealer where at 6k miles the prior owner couldn't stand the harshness of the I4 and traded it in on a Mercedes, I saw the Saab on the lot the 3nd day he had it, stopped in and took it out in the vicinity of $ 25k - it's the touring model. So this dealer was going to wholesale it out and took that price to move it, this was in 2005 and I stopped at the same dealer recently when looking for my next car and they now ask blue book retail on their trades . Was amazed at the half dozen Jeep Wranglers he had that people trade-in to buy a Mercedes.
My 2nd choice behind a new Hyundai was going to be a used Lexus RX350 but they just retain too much of their value to work a good deal. They are a more solid auto the the Hyundai, no question about it.
