I had quite a number of Triumphs, MGs, Healeys back in the day and have fond memories of them. But I have to ask when the last time was that you actually drove one? I'd highly recommend you spend an hour in one before you pull the trigger. They're cramped, noisy and all the heat from the engine comes up through the floor. I never even heard of one with AC. They're slow to the point of being dangerous--a Prius will leave one for dead. And not to be a buzz kill but they are deathtraps (like many classic cars)--there are no safety features at all and they're tiny. There's nothing that says you can't get in an accident just because you're driving a classic car. I wouldn't drive one here in Crazy Town for anything. I've also had 5 C900 TCs and with a stick they really capture the feel and ambiance of a British sports car--to me they have a great many of the traits and the feel of a Healey 3000. Throw in working heat/AC, water tight top, reasonable safety and it's no contest. British sports cars (other than Jag)are like Harleys. They look cool, sound cool and are fun as long as don't actually have to be on the damn thing.
