The MGA is not one of the better MGs. But you can get them for much less than an MGB, which is a much better car (as MGs go), but either is still an old British sports car. It's hard to use these for much more than sunny summer day cars, unless you're inclined to really do all the stuff to ensure it will be reliable. And even then...
The C900, if it's a good one, is a better bet, but these are not really comparable cars except that they're both soft tops. The C900 you can run all year round, which is nice, and parts are really not an issue. MGA parts are easy enough to get from Moss Motors and others, mostly made in China.
I think about this, too, leaning toward a MGB or maybe a Triumph, vs a C900. But then I think that I'd want to use it, not be tinkering, not worry about it crapping out on me, and think that if it's a 2-seat sports car that I want, a Miata makes a lot more sense.
Old Brit cars are a lot of fun to drive (have had 2 of them), even if they are slow, but between a MGA and a C900, the Saab is probably a better all-around choice, unless you have a real need to torture yourself with a British sports car or do vintage racing.
